September Weekend 2009
Friday 25.9.09
I arrived in Blackpool at around 5 pm and there was a healthy number of trams in service, although the service did seem to be in a bit of chaos. Although the weather was cloudy, boats 602 and 604 as well as replica vanguard 619 were out on specials. 737 was out fairly early on specials too.
Onto the evening and there was some more chaos as the World Fireworks Championships took place meaning that the north prom was closed for 20 minutes. All 3 illuminated trams operated on tours during the evening where there was also a fair number of specials out too.

Saturday 26.9.09
Saturday was cloudy again but there was an excellent turnout of trams out in service during the day and Blackpool was extermely busy.
Morning specials were mainly centenary cars Bolton 66 and 619, but from 4pm onwards a steady stream of trams entered service starting with 630, boat 602, Fleetwood 40, 631, 147, 715,737,648, 604, 644 and finally Balloon 701. Boat 602 was out quite late as well (until around 10.45pm)
Illumination tours were operated by 733+734, 736, 737, 147, 66 and 40.

Sunday 27.9.09
Sunday was another good day tramwise the day time service was as follows
Fleetwood - 717, 709, 762 ,711, 723 and 719
Cleveleys - 642, 647, 648, 645
A number of specials appeared in service including 602 out during the morning but appeared to be swapped over by the afternoon.
There was still a fair number of trams out at night as well with a few balloons out on specials to take passengers round the lights. Tours were operated by 733+734 x2, 736 and 737 which operated a special to Cleveleys following tour duty for the 3rd night running.

Notes for this day are incomplete as I came home on this day.

724 was also noted out on test whilst 717 and 147 were seen heading south through Cleveleys with a private hire.
